Welcome to The Parlour, IFCAP's new artistic home! A full floor loft located just west of Union Square in the heart of the Flatiron District on Fifth Avenue, The Parlour’s main entrance opens into a spacious white Gallery with large windows and incredible natural light. The Gallery connects via doorway to a Great Room reminiscent of the unexpected secret hideaways in old Speakeasies. This second, larger space contains a small, raised platform stage, a full kitchen and steps leading to a mezzanine with balcony and a full bath. Sound systems in both space allow for simultaneous or contrasting use. Wooden floors run throughout the entire space, as well as elegantly detailed moldings, exposed brick and tile work, recessed, track and accent lighting. Quiet and private, the Gallery + Great Room total 3000 square feet.
Many details in this unexpected yet beautiful space date back to 1873. The ceiling heights are 10 feet in the Gallery and range from 8 to 11 to 16 feet in the Great Room, offering many areas for specialized play.
Its flexibility and flow make it perfect for collaboration and play! Artists welcome!
